I often have people asking about the quality of Bass Pro Shop brand rods and my answer is usually pretty straight forward. As with most things, you get what you pay for and in fact Bass Pro Shops brand rods can often be found at a rather practical price.
The Bass Pro Shop Tourney Special is a rod I highly recommend to those not looking to empty their bank accounts on a very high quality rod, or RODS. In fact, I don't think you can match the quality with any other rod in the sixty dollar range. You'll find your self spending closer to a hundred for most rods of this quality. 
IM-7 construction makes it tough. Premium Fuji aluminum oxide guides and Pro-Guard coating make it tougher. It's also available in a wide variety of lengths and actions.
